I definitely recommend if you use your kamado as grill more than smoker. When I bought the grill, it came with the ceramic grate and I always struggled getting grill really hot and took used coals forever to get hot. The added air flow of this grate really makes a big difference and grill now gets hot and ready for grilling much faster. Overall happy with the purchase.
